HIDDEN CHARM OF VIETNAM

DAY 1: HANOI ARRIVAL

Arriving at Hanoi Airport, welcome you to Hanoi! We will transfer you to your hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. In the afternoon, we will enjoy a walking tour around Hanoi. You will be surprised with a variety of architectural works in our capital and its well-known 36 streets of the Old Quarter.

Transfer back to hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 2: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will leave Hanoi for a 180-km journey to Ha Long Bay, one of UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3000 islands located in a background of limestone in Gulf of Tonkin. Coming to Halong, visitors will be impressed with the beauty of natural achievement and many wonderful types of scenery.

You will enjoy an overnight cruise on a wonderful boat floating on Ha Long Bay and savouring special menu of fresh seafood will absolutely bring you the best moment you have ever had.

You will be served with lunch and dinner on boat. Overnight on board.

DAY 3: HALONG BAY – HANOI (B, L)

You are recommended to wake up early in the morning on this day because that is the most wonderful time for you to contemplate aquamarine water of the bay at its best. Once satisfied with the tea break, you will continue the onboard excursion through impressive limestone surrounding the bay. Don’t forget to take some nice photos of this unique land.

Return to the Harbour, we will transfer back to Hanoi. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4: COUNTRYSIDE AND VILLAGES (B, L)

Following breakfast time, we will drive to Bat Trang to visit the traditional Ceramic Village. Visiting around and drop off at a family factory, you will observe the art of ceramic making process by hand. You can visit the Dinh Bang communal house in the heart of village and explore all decisions regarding village matters were made.

You can visit a local factory house and try making a pottery product as your favourite or at the end, an artisan will help you to make a sweet pottery gift to take home.

Transfer back to hotel. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5: HANOI – HUE CITY (B, L)

Enjoy breakfast and be ready for our departure to the airport for flight to Hue. Welcome on arrival and transfer to hotel for check in.

We will transfer to the pier for a boat trip. Riding along Perfume River, we will drop off and visit a typical garden house built following the precise rules of geomancy. Continue the journey; we will visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, the most beautiful ancient pagoda of Hue. Built in 1601, the pagoda has been improved many times under the reign of Kings during Nguyen Dynasty.

The private car will pick you up from Thien Mu pagoda, go to a garden restaurant for lunch beforo visiting the Minh Mang Mausoleum, an ancient tomb standing for long generations. The tomb was completed in 1843 after 3 years constructed and it is the rest place of the second King of Nguyen Dynasty. In front of the tomb, there are 3 gates and the one at the middle is the Big Red Gate. Inside the Honor Courtyard, there are many stone statues of Mandarins, elephants and horses which are guarding.

DAY 6: HUE – BATTLE FEILD (B, L)

The morning comes with the departure to Quang Tri Province – the most painful place during Vietnamese war. We will visit Quang Tri Museum, a significant architectural monument displaying about 10.000 original exhibits, scientific document and valuable collections. Different from many other museums, Quang Tri Museum shows following special subjects and combines between traditional and modern display. Audio system is put in wall and electric system is efficiently applied that remarks the subjects. Additionally, you can visit the projector room and watch a documentary film to have an exhaustive look at the nation’s history.

We drive along the Ho Chi Minh Trail deeper in Demilitarized Zone to reach Khe Sanh Military Base – the old American base in an important historic battle of Vietnam War. You can specifically learn more about it by considering some war leftovers such as bunkers, bombs, tanks and air-craft,… Have lunch at local restaurant

After that, we will also visit a historic war remains Hien Luong Bridge – the declaration of non-ammunition, Ben Hai River and Vinh Moc Tunnel – home of many revolutionary Vietnamese families.

Transfer to Hue city. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 7: HUE – HOIAN  (B)

Today, we will transfer to Danang via the scenic Hai Van Pass. Here gives you a unique time to contemplate one in many fantastic picturesque sceneries of Vietnam as you look out over the central coastline.

Arriving in Hoian, check in your hotel and enjoy a walking tour in Hoi An town, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site because of its unusually well-preserved ancient streets and homes. Set out to explore the quaint cobblestone streets of the town with more than two-century-old Chinese houses. Sites include the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple, and Phung Hung Chinese-style trading house.

DAY 8: HOIAN FREE TIME (B)

You have one free day for shopping and relaxing on the beach. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 9: HOIAN – DANANG – HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

Free time at your leisure until we transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest centre of economy, politics and culture in the south of Vietnam and also an attractive touristic destination. Thanks to its numerous of monuments associated to the wartime and massive works containing colonial architecture, visitors will never regret when visit this amazing city.

Particularly, you will have chance to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the architectural masterpiece of Ho Chi Minh City. The monuments was designed following the inspiration of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris by Bourad, a French architect and completed in 1880 after 3 years constructed. All its components was imported from France. Visitors will feel very peaceful in mind as you can hear the quietest of footsteps along the walkway from the door to the dais.

DAY 10: A GLIMPSE OF MEKONG DELTA (B, L)

The morning comes with the departure to Cai Be. We will board a sampan to Cai Be floating market, the most astonishing market. The panorama of this region is full of colours thanks to the diverse fruits, vegetables, and skilful handcrafted regional products. Geting on local boats, you will have chance to exchange with merchants to understand more about their activity here. We might visit some local candy and cake producing factories or float on river through the green water scenery to observe some local houses, verdant orchards and ship-building yards.

The floating markets are the centre to trade numerous fruits and vegetables in Mekong Delta that explains why the number off trading boat are dependent on harvesting seasons and market demand. Additionally, modern wholesale markets are becoming more and more popular as well as an essential part of Vietnam. That’s also a reason for the increasing of boat.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will visit Bonsai Gardens to comprehend about the art of simple trees. With their solid wood frames and sprawling but thin branches the bonsai is known for it ability to be shaped into wonderful sculptures and for having a calming effect.

Transfer back to hotel in Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 11: FAREWELL VIETNAM (B)

Free time at your leisure until we transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
